The Cox banjo is unique in the banjo world. All of the parts in a Cox banjo were made at the 5-String Music Studio in Topsham, Maine, under the careful supervision of master craftsman Jimmy Cox. From the distinctive tone rings to the 3-ply rock maple rims to the carefully turned resonators and flawless inlay and engraving detail, each component of the banjo was made to Jimmy’s exacting specifications.
Cox wooden banjo components are known industry-wide for their high quality and superior performance. Adam Cox, Jimmy’s grandson, has been in charge of producing the wooden rims and resonators for over 30 years. Adam is committed to continuing his grandfather’s legacy, making the same high quality banjo components that Cox customers have grown to expect.
